Bulk blue oyster grain spawn gives commercial growers a dependable, fully colonised start for their own substrate. Each unit is a 1.5kg bag of fully colonised millet and milo grain spawn, produced to exactly the same standard as our retail range, and supplied in packs from 25 right up to 1,000.

About Blue Oyster

Blue oyster spawn runs fast through straw, coffee grounds and hardwood, outcompeting most contaminants along the way. It is a great choice for low cost pasteurised straw systems and for farms just starting out.

What You Get

How They Are Used

1. Break up the spawn inside the bag.
2. Mix into pasteurised or sterilised substrate at around 10 to 20 percent by weight.
3. Incubate until fully colonised, then move to fruiting conditions.
